St. Louis, MO: The Tennessee House Health Committee yesterday voted 15-4 to advance the Heartbeat Bill to the House floor for a vote. Governor Bill Lee has already backed the legislation. As Heartbeat Bills advance in legislatures across the country, we are hopeful for and proud of the work of Rep. Micah Van Huss of the Tennessee House in sponsoring and leading this bill.”This is a great step forward for Tennessee, for the Heartbeat Bill initiative, and for the protection of the most innocent Americans,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Rep. Huss summed it up in testimony yesterday before his House Health Committee — this is about saving lives. The matter really is that simple. We wish all speed and success to conservatives in Tennessee fighting to save lives!”
