Ashcroft To Join Other Special Speakers At Legacy of Life Luncheon
St. Louis, MO: Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft will join the Eagle Council 51 program, taking part in the celebratory Legacy of Life Luncheon on Saturday, September 17, 2022 in St. Louis.
“Jay Ashcroft has been a rock-solid presence in the Missouri Capitol for the values Missourians hold dear, and we are excited for him to join Eagle Council this year,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Not only has Jay been a champion for transparent and secure elections, but he has been an articulate advocate for many of the issues we hold dear. He is certainly continuing the legacy of conservative policy left by his parents, Attorney General John and Janet Ashcroft. Not only was the Ashcroft family a faithful recipient of the monthly Phyllis Schlafly Report to their home, but Jay’s training as an engineer only endears him even more to the Schlafly family.”
“Since 2017, Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft has been a bulldog for election integrity in Missouri,” Martin continued. “He has fought for the safety and transparency of Missouri’s electoral process and faced down many dark money bullies in the process. We are proud of his work with our other Missouri state officials to fight for the voices of the citizens to be heard. Missouri supported voter ID and other protective measures by huge majorities, and Jay has kept up the fight in spite of lawsuits and activist courts. He brings the same tenacity and strength to his fight for life. We are thrilled to welcome him to our Legacy of Life Luncheon next month.”
Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Council 51 is a premier national leadership conference for grassroots conservatives that has taken place annually since 1968. This year it will be held in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, September 17. All the details, including more phenomenal speakers and guests, can be found at www.EagleCouncil.com.
