St. Louis, MO: Missouri’s only remaining abortion clinic is expected to close later this week. Planned Parenthood in St. Louis didn’t renew its license through the state health department because they refused to take safety measures designed to protect the pregnant women. Unless they agree to the safety measures, their license will expire on May 31. That means we are just a few days away from an end to all legal abortion in the state.
“Missouri made headlines last week for putting strong pro-life laws in place,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “This follow up news is incredibly exciting. Missourians see through the sham of Planned Parenthood. Their closure in Missouri comes not a moment too soon for the lives that will be saved. They don’t really care about women, which is why they won’t comply with the Missouri Health Department’s safeguards.”
