Janet Porter, Mississippi, Texas Leaders To Be Honored at March for Life Event
Washington, D.C.: “As the countdown to March for Life 2022 takes place this week, we are very excited to hear that a coalition of organizations will be honoring leaders of the Heartbeat Movement,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Janet Porter will long be a towering giant in the conservative movement for her dedication to the cause of life. She is fearless in speaking the truth and unblinking in her swift action on its behalf.”
Priests for Life along with the National Pro-Life Religious Council and Faith & Liberty DC will host an annual prayer service Friday morning before the march during which activists and legislators responsible for the Texas and Mississippi Heartbeat Laws as well as Heartbeat Movement founder Janet Porter will be honored for their leadership.
Martin continued, “Thanks to the courage and dedication of these two state legislatures, the Supreme Court seems poised to strike down the moral and judicial atrocity of Roe v. Wade. It would be an injustice, though, to recognize their courage without honoring Janet Porter, whose tireless dedication to the Heartbeat Bill she crafted has truly brought us to this defining moment in the fight for unborn lives in America.
“On behalf of all of our Eagles across the nation, to the Texas and Mississippi Leaders and to Janet: thank you for your example of leadership and may God continue to bless you for fighting the battle for life.”
