Public Opinion Swings Strikingly Anti-Abortion When Leftist Talking Points Dropped
Washington, D.C.: “Democrats are pulling out all the stops, demanding that you believe the majority of Americans are pro-abortion, but that is plainly false,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Joe Biden took to the airwaves last week to sign an Executive Order directing HHS to protect and expand abortion pills and other so-called ‘reproductive health services,’ and in doing so, he called on Congress to codify a right to abortion.
“It’s amazing the lengths the left will go to to lie to the American people, but it’s clear the public isn’t buying it. Polling groups all over the spectrum, from Trafalgar to Harvard/Harris and more show that Americans both support the overturning of Roe v. Wade’s terrible jurisprudence and believe that abortions should be banned or restricted once a baby’s heartbeat can be detected. In fact, only a fraction of Americans support the radical abortion-up-to-birth position of Joe Biden and the Democrat Party.”
Martin continued, “The American people are pro-life, and it’s time for bold state legislatures to run with that public support as they codify the protection of unborn life and protections for young women facing crises. Planned Parenthood and the industry that has exploited women for so long is shuttering across the nation and it’s time to finish off this predatory industry once and for all.”
