Washington, D.C.: “While the left is reaching a new fever pitch on abortion, Americans must be bolder than ever in defense of innocent life,” said Ed Martin. “While nothing has been settled yet, it appears that we are about to have an incredible legislative opportunity to end abortion in America. For far too long, pro-life activists have played defense. Now it’s time to advance!
“I am encouraged by the wave of candidates and officeholders declaring they support life — no exceptions! In particular, both Virginia Delegate Nick Freitas and Pennsylvania U.S. Senate candidate Kathy Barnette have just revealed that they were conceived in rape. Conservatives have allowed themselves to be pigeonholed into exceptions on abortion, and it’s time we reclaimed the fight! The dignity of human life cannot be qualified by political compromises.”
“The left will stomp around and scream on TV and social media,” Martin continued. “They will contort polls and twist wording. They’re moving now in Congress to codify abortion at the national level. They will pull out all the stops to continue their destruction of the family, but we must not let them win! The fight against abortion is not only one to defend innocent life. It is also a fight to protect women, a battle to preserve the family unit itself.”
Martin concluded, “Pro-lifers in Congress need to prepare themselves for the coming onslaught and dig in their heels to defend the future of America! I look forward also to more state legislatures courageously passing laws that save countless children. Our future generations of America are counting on us to stand up for them now!
