St. Louis, MO: Phyllis Schlafly had one principle on the education issue to govern all others: “Put Parents In Charge.” It may sound overly simple, but it’s very profound. Parents know what’s best for their children; parents want what’s best for them. No politician, even a well-meaning one, can compete with the loving care of a mother and father.
“Education was always a leading issue for Phyllis Schlafly and her Eagles,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Still today we fight for parent-controlled education across the country. We are excited to bring together next month a number of incredible advocates for education policy at Eagle Council XLVIII.”
Dr. Everett Piper, who is shredding the snowflake college mentality, and Alex Newman, noted journalist who’s taking on the education establishment, are just a few of the amazing speakers on the program at Eagle Council. Idaho State Representative and long-time Eagle Leader Tammy Nichols will be introducing a new initiative called Parents in Charge.
“Across the spectrum of issues, we will fight to let parents make choices for their children,” Martin continued. “That’s the best way to build a better future for the next generation of Americans.”
For any citizens that care deeply about education, Eagle Council is the place to be. We’ll convene September 13-15 at the Saint Louis Airport Marriott hotel. More information and registration can be found at www.EagleCouncil.com.
