AG Andrew Bailey Issues Regulation Banning Trans Procedures for Kids
St. Louis, MO: “Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is boldly protecting the citizens of his state, as public servants ought to,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “In an era of radical leftist agendas, we all too often find that our leaders can be bullied and made to back down from standing up for the truth.”
The Attorney General’s office declared transition treatments for children as “inhumane science experiments,” and they fall under the AG’s purview under existing Missouri law that governs “unfair, deceptive, and unconscionable” business practices. This new regulation will demand specific informed-consent disclosures with parents and guardians, fighting both the secrecy and speed that places like St. Louis Children’s Transgender Clinic have operated with in the past.
“It’s my sincerest hope and prayer that AG Bailey’s temporary emergency rule spurs the legislature to action,” Martin concluded. “This is the kind of creativity and steadfastness we need! If We the People are to fight back the cultural wave of destroying truth and our American values and if states are to fight back against the ever-pressing federal powers, we need state leaders who will step out boldly on what they know to be true and use every facet of the law and their constitutional job description to stand up for their citizens.
“Good for Andrew Bailey, good for Missouri, and good for the parents and children of the Show Me State. Now, may the legislature take Attorney General Bailey’s good work and move it down the field! “
