My hope and prayer is that the COVID-19 crisis can be used to strengthen the resolve and faith of the American people. I would never wish for this to happen to our nation, but I believe God can use tragedy to bring forth something good. Unfortunately, some people want to use the coronavirus to destroy everything good and virtuous in America. Spoiler alert: George Soros is behind this.
The radical feminist Sophie Lewis used a Soros-funded digital media platform to suggest that we should use the coronavirus quarantine as a reason to abolish the traditional nuclear family. I’m not exaggerating what she said. I’m not taking anything out of context. She literally said this: “We deserve better than the family. And the time of corona is an excellent time to practice abolishing it.” She went on to justify her claim by linking the coronavirus quarantine to a spike in domestic violence. That’s where this Sophie Lewis goes completely off the rails. From there, she makes the wild leap that the home is not a safe place for women and children because, given enough time together, all men will eventually be violent.
Domestic violence is awful to the core, but you can’t use the exception to disprove the rule. Although domestic violence is a very serious crime and should be harshly punished, the vast majority of men will never abuse their wives or children. In fact, if you look at the numbers, you’ll see that unmarried women with live-in boyfriends are significantly more likely to be abused. If we want to protect women, a home based on a solid marriage is what we should wish for them.
For the vast majority of women and children, the home is a refuge like no other. It is a place of safety, freedom, and equality. The feminists don’t try to destroy the family because they want to help women. They try to destroy the family because they are bitter, lonely, and they want all women to be just like them. Using the tragedy of coronavirus and the outrage of domestic violence to push their bitter feminist goals is simply beyond pitiful.
