Washington, D.C.: This week, people from all walks of life have jumped online to publicly support the movement to #SaveGirlsSports. This effort, led by the Family Policy Alliance, is centered on making sure girls’ athletic programs and sports teams have equal opportunity to thrive.
“The radical transgender movement has become one of the chief opponents to girls’ and women’s sports,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “The leftist push for transgender privileges has put the level playing field for young women in jeopardy, and people from all over the political spectrum are speaking up against it. We must stand up and #SaveGirlsSports from the moral and political chaos of the radical left.”
Phyllis Schlafly Eagles has stayed on the forefront of this issue. From the voice of Phyllis Schlafly years ago to our Eagles’ work now, our organization has educated the public on the unfairness of trans competition as well as the policy efforts like the Equal Rights Amendment that would end girls’ sports as we know it. We will continue to educate and encourage state and local governments to defend young women’s sporting opportunities, as Idaho has done already.
