The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report with Ed Martin.
Welcome, welcome, welcome, it’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Hey, I I, I’m. I’m loathe to do this, but I have to. I have to do this because it’s so cool. I don’t usually talk about things that already happened because what’s the use? You know, we had our, our, our, our Phyllis Schlafly Collegian Summit the other night. But I want to tell you about it. So.

There’s a lot happening this week. I would just want to highlight something for you. And it it’s important to me because of the way it worked out. We had our 31st Phyllis Schlafly Collegians summit. They have various times been in Washington, DC in person. Sometimes one day, sometimes a day and a half. Sometimes we have 50 collegians. Sometimes we have had up to maybe 200. A lot of times it’s Interns from the Capitol Hill, they come to the events and also we do bring some in from out of town some of the times, but the last few years since Phyllis passed away and then COVID hit, we’ve been doing them virtually because we find we can reach more people that way. And actually what we are really trying to do is attract the speaker. There’s two sort of categories of speakers to collegians to expose the college students to them. The two categories are elected officials and policymakers, people that have an influence on policy often elected Congress House and Senate, but other, you know, some. Sometimes people that are serving in in the administration. Or at the state and local level perspective, and then authors. And so the the recent collegians that we hosted, the 31st one, it was a phenomenal success. We ended up with too many Speakers, which happens every year and they each speaker gets about 20 minutes and it’s it’s a it’s a Q&A with me asking questions and a discussion and then generating questions from Collegians. We generate them ahead of time and then we also do it live. And first of all.
This year we partnered with Rumble and worked out of their DC studio, and that was a game changer because when we went to advertise it, it it. Usually we do stream it from our own website on YouTube, on channels. This time we’re at Rumble and so we had to sort of support it, got a lot more attention. We had nearly 500 students sign up ahead. That time, that’s a lot of students for us, signing up ahead of time, e-mail address reminders, and then over the course of the evening, you go from 5 in the evening until 9:00, and actually went from about 4:30 until 9:30. We had over 70,000 individuals come in for some portion of the event. Now, that’s always hard to measure, right? You know, did they come in? For one interview, because it was a a Congressman, did they want to learn more about Mike Waller’s book, Big Intel? That was one we covered, actually, very cool. We had Ronald Reagan biographer historian Craig Shirley. He’s got a new book called The Search for Reagan, always popular to have Reagan stuff up there. And so there we were. And it was awesome. So that’s number one.
Number two, I think people are interested in a way that’s different and willing to comment on it. We had a lot more comments from people. We had questions we had back and forth. We had follow up and then we finished in the evening at about 9:30, ten o’clock. And I think we had had about 50,000 views, 50,000 visitors and views, and by the next morning 20,000 more. So I, the energy around some of these topics, you know, we covered national security, election security, we covered pro-life pro family. We had our friend from Poland Jerzy Kwaśniewski in and he talked about what was going on there in Poland and the EU, other things it it was really awesome. It was awesome and it was really great fun. For us to be together and having this great time and. It it was it. Was it was great. It was really a a great time and my encouragement to you is to go to our website. PhyllisSchlafly.Com or go to Rumble. Just go to Rumble in general and search for Ed Martin or Phyllis Schlafly collegians and get you can see each of these segments. So 20 minutes each.
We had some of the January Sixers. Cynthia Hughes was on, but also one of the prisoners, Tim Hale, which was fascinating to hear it. It was really an extraordinary night. And I just want to encourage people to go and find it and share it with other people. I mean, one of the our goals with the Collegians is to create content that we can use all year round so. I try not to ask too many questions that are very specifically dated. Like, you know, tomorrow is the debate. Well, that would throw it off a little bit. So we try not to do that, but instead to be a little bit more evergreen as we say and then we can use it again and again, but a little bit, some of it stated, some of it is connected to the specifics of what’s happening. So you know you gotta live with that and it’s not a big deal, but I want to encourage you. Check it out. Go sign up there and and and get take a look at it. And if you would pass it on to others. Share it and like it and and then let other people know what we’re up to because it’s very cool and it’s a it’s a lot of fun.
And again, the speakers that we had on there, we had Waller was really good. Mike Waller, he came down from New England. Will Scharf. Will Scharf, who’s a personal lawyer for Donald Trump. He’s also running for Attorney General in in Missouri, my old home state and Mike Davis, the hotshot lawyer fighter for Donald Trump, he was there. Ingrassia. Of course we had Paul Ingrassia. And he was phenomenal. The one I was interested in, I had not even heard her interviewed. I’d seen her book and some of her writings.
Her name is Carrie Gress, Dr. Carrie Gress and the Carrie – Carrie Gress GRESS. CarrieGress.com. You can see she has a an online magazine, a women’s magazine called Theology Of Home and she’s written a book called The End of Woman. How smashing the patriarchy has destroyed us – fascinating. Mother of five, very poised, bright, attractive woman. And she was in studio. And she was talking all about these. How feminism really did not did not serve women in many ways and has really distorted things. That was very interesting – check her out.
Bensman came on Todd Bensman to cover the massive, massive and ever Growing it seems problem of of illegal immigration and the invasion of the country. It was, it was great and thank you. To Rumble and the DC studio there, Dylan Abbad. I always don’t know if I pronounce his name right. AB AD. I need to check with him. But Dylan the great Dylan at the Rumble DC studio Ryan Hite came in. Our intern David was there. Mattie, another intern helped us. So it was a lot. A lot of fun. A lot of fun. It’s a long day for me because doing five and a half, six hours of interviews, it’s. It may seem like it’s oh, you’re just talking to people. You know, you’re just kind of hanging out. You know, how how much of a problem can that be? How much effort can that take out? Quite a bit, quite a bit. And you get kind of just wiped out.
So by the end of the night, at 9:30 sitting around afterwards, it was like, wow, I am wiped. But it was really great. It was worth it. So I hope you’ll check that out and. Again, you could visit proamericareport.com and sign up. There will be blasting out some of those segments over the coming months to remind you of people to pay attention to and as topics circle around and are related to what they’re doing. It’s a great time to encourage people to go back and look at these things. So phyllisschlafly.com proamericareport.com to sign up for our regular emails and also go to Rumble. Hey, support Rumble.
You know, the the ruling today, the Supreme Court ruled basically that they’re they’re not clipping the wings of the Biden administration, who is working with private tech companies to censor us. That’s insane, and I’m not spending any time on the decision until I read it in more depth. But it’s frustrating.
But I’ll tell you the place where you can be free, free speech, freedom of thought, freedom to be what you want. Create, is Rumble. Rumble and the DC studio of Rumble has been a a blessing and an opportunity and really awesome for us, so I encourage you to support Rumble, to be on Rumble to, to find your way to making Rumble a priority for for your work because they’re on the front end of the fight. They are on the front end of the fight. And we’ve got to support the people that are out there with us. So thank you to Rumble very much for your support and especially for helping us to do this work because we couldn’t do it, we couldn’t get, again. I mean by now, I don’t. I haven’t even have not even heard from Ryan. By the time I’m talking to you right now is probably up to 80 or 90,000. It’s it keeps growing. But we finished last night at like 45,000 people have viewed it maybe 50 and by the morning that’s what it was close to 50. 50 thousand people have been watching some portion. I mean it’s hard to know how much. And by the morning, 20 more thousand have been involved, so checking it out, pretty exciting. Awesome thing.
