Kettle Moraine School Board Votes to Enforce Ban on “Political Flags or Religious Messaging” In Classrooms and On Teachers
Washington, D.C.: “The Kettle Moraine School Board in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has voted to ban LGBT pride and Black Lives Matter flags and attire from all classrooms and teachers,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “This is great news in that it certainly appears to be a direct response to the radical woke agenda raging through our schools. I hope more school boards will boldly stand up against this raw politicization of our children toward anti-America values.
“I pause, however, and must question this one-size solution may come with drawbacks. Banning all political and religious messaging quickly paints you into a corner where even shared community values that people want are reviled as ‘banned’ by the scorned wokesters. We cannot whitewash learning to exclude Truth, history, and basic values that our nation shares. We must boldly attack the agendas that are antithetical to our values of family, freedom, and our Christian Heritage while not sacrificing our ability to speak the truth about those things that made us who we are as a nation.
“We’ve fought too hard to preserve pillars of our nation in public like the Ten Commandments to allow our own rule-making against the leftist mob to get thrown back at us. So good for the Kettle Moraine school board for standing up to woke bullies, and may we all learn to push forward in a way that not only stops this authoritarian agenda but will keeps open the path for Truth to advance!”
