Officials Are Bowing to Teachers Unions, Not Looking Out for Kids
Washington, D.C.: “While the majority of our nation has largely gone back to normal life, the Biden administration continues to hold schoolchildren hostage,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Biden officials continue to hem and haw when asked about the reopening of schools this fall. Cloaked in terms like ‘probably’ and ‘unpredictable,’ they continue to hold our kids hostage to lockdowns and quarantines. It’s absolutely insane!
“The flip-flopping of Biden officials on school reopenings is about as ridiculous as the CDC’s irrational guidelines on masking children and trapping them in what Karol Markowicz aptly calls the ‘forever pandemic.’ There is absolutely no basis in statistics or science for the continued closure of public schools or the ridiculous guidelines for children. At this point it’s quite clear that public health isn’t driving the CDC or the Biden administration as a whole — it’s teachers unions. Big Labor has shoved their bought-and-paid-for government officials to the back seat and is holding school kids hostage to get their political demands met. Enough is enough! Shut down the union, reopen the schools!”
Keeping children locked up at home is the real public health crisis. Private schools have been back in the classroom and not a single major problem has emerged. A public outcry against the CDC and teachers unions is needed to right this horrible wrong.
