Washington, D.C.: Leftwing Democrat activists successfully canceled Big Ten college football this fall, and people are catching on to their political games.
“Players and public leaders are fighting back against the Big Ten’s unexplained cancelation of the 2020 season,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Using the futures of young Americans as pawns in an election year game is just despicable, and that’s exactly what Democrat governors and Joe Biden have done. Their pal, noted leftwing activist and Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren, canceled the Big Ten season without any rationale given. In fact, several students are suing the Big Ten over this cancellation because of the secrecy and lack of proper conduct around it! Democratic governors of the Big Ten states have been pressuring college football to stop despite most programs’ confidence they could proceed safely in the current COVID environment.”
“Joe Biden and Democrats are now trying to tell us that sports closures — that they pushed for — are the fault of their electoral opponent Donald Trump? The Big Ten commissioner’s walk-back includes potentially reopening the season this year but not until November (after the election)? Give us a break! Kevin Warren ought to be ashamed and so should leftwing politicians. They are pushing as many negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic as possible and peddling a story to blame it on President Trump. Stop the politics. Stop using and abusing students. Play football and let’s get America working again.”
