Washington, D.C.: President Donald Trump has issued an executive order clarifying that illegal aliens are not to be included in the census count for the purpose of congressional apportionment. This move upholds long-held constitutional standards protecting our electoral integrity and the voting rights of American citizens.
“Phyllis Schlafly called it long ago — the radical left is on a march to destroy the very system by which the people’s voice can be heard,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “The tried and true American system of Congressional apportionment is a vital part of the electoral process. Electoral integrity has long been a battle fought with those who want to undermine and transform America. President Trump has landed a decisive victory in that battle by ensuring that American citizens are put first.
