What we can learn from the California Recall is: 1) Democrats took it seriously — they motivated their base and didn’t shy from their health COVID decisions. 2) Republican Party of California was not organized and ready for this — and it echos a worry for 2022. 3) Larry Elder was really good and solidified his new influential status — but so did Gavin Newsom. 4) Republicans do not have health freedom strategies that beat people’s fear. We have to figure out those solutions and messaging and fast.
