Beware the Boomerang Effect — Don’t Cave to Faux Fairness
Washington, D.C.: Democrats are on the move in Missouri, Kansas, and a host of deep red states to stop conservatives from strengthening and adding congressional districts which favor Republicans. What’s worse than their hypocritical outrage over gerrymandering is their ability to cajole weak-kneed Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) to their side.
“Leftist Democrats and RINOs in conservative clothing are in rare form this year, pulling out all the stops to prevent conservatives from winning redistricting battles,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “They are fighting the alleged gerrymandering of Republicans, but beware the Boomerang Effect! It seems that every time a leftist points and screeches, they’re the one guilty of their own accusation.
“Leftist politicians and the liberal media are piling on state legislatures to not ‘unfairly gerrymander’ districts, but it seems clear leftists aren’t worried about fairness for the voter. They’re only concerned with protecting own agenda and political strongholds. Republican supermajorities in states like Kansas and Missouri should fight for the best maps they can get to correctly distribute representation.
“My message to every legislator embroiled in these redistricting battles: stand your ground! Fight for good maps. Protect the rule of law and American values! Don’t let wolves in sheep’s clothing trick you into sacrificing We the People on the altar of feigned civility and bipartisanship. We the Voters are watching!”
