Washington, D.C.: Last night, President Donald Trump delivered his third State of the Union address. What unfolded over the next nearly 80 minutes was a beautiful story of renewed hope in American enterprise, spirit, and values.
“President Trump left a mark not only on his presidency and the 2020 elections, but on our nation’s history,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “No matter how you feel about Donald Trump, it’s without question this speech was all about highlighting the good in America — the good in her economy, in her values, and in her people. They are good things for your family and mine; good things for all races, all political parties, and all Americans. President Trump masterfully reported on a hopeful America.”
Martin concluded: “Nancy Pelosi and most of her Democratic Caucus, however, chose to put petty theatrics front and center. Their deep-rooted hatred for the president even led them to ignore the powerful American stories represented in the gallery guests. It’s truly sad. I am certain their penchant for drama and partisan bitterness will haunt them in the November election.”
Bravo to President Trump for rising above his impeachment battle to focus on powerful and moving American stories relevant to us all. Thank you, Mr. President, for making the State of our Union about We the People.
