St. Louis, MO: Maine GOP Senator Susan Collins announced she will oppose President Trump’s judicial nominee for the Eastern District of Missouri, Sarah Pitlyk. This is a terrible move.
“Sarah Pitlyk is a stellar choice for a federal judgeship,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “She serves honorably, defending many of our fundamental American rights. She also has an excellent resume of experience, including clerking for Justice Brett Kavanaugh while he served on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. Her profound respect for America and its fundamental tenets would guide her, I believe, to a judicial career of respecting the Constitution and strictly interpreting the law. Senator Collins and others would do well to reconsider their measuring stick for nominees.”
President Donald Trump has reached incredible milestones in the push to put constitutionalist judges on America’s federal benches. Sarah Pitlyk would be yet another excellent addition to his judicial legacy.
