Shame on California’s Government as Churches Beg To Be Allowed to Meet
Washington, D.C.: “California’s continued draconian lockdown is an assault on the very foundation of America,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Governor Newsom’s restrictions on churches are an inexcusable violation of the First Amendment rights to peaceably assemble and worship freely.”

Martin continued: “It is despicable of California to continue enslaving their population while other states are open and returning to normal life. There is no explanation but fear and a thirst for power. Newsom’s lockdown ought to be a national scandal on the lips of every American alongside the nursing home killing spree of New York’s (soon-to-be-former) Governor Andrew Cuomo.”
