Pro-Life Americans Will Not Be Silenced By Pro-Abortion Scare Tactics
Washington, D.C.: “The desecration of Mt. Avery Missionary Baptist Church in rural Mississippi is a testimony to just how cowardly proponents of abortion can be,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “These terroristic actions against a poor, older, African American congregation will not stand.”
The perpetrators of the vandalism, who will hereafter be referred to as “the cowards,” likely targeted the church not for being outspoken about political issues, but because the church building was located in a rural area where witnesses would be unlikely. The doors, walls, and windows of the building were covered with pro-abortion slogans and depictions of rape.
“Though the cowards may evade the temporal justice they deserve, their demonic cause of desecrating houses of worship to promote the killing of children will not ultimately prevail,” Martin affirmed. “Pro-life Americans are being emboldened to protect the women and children victimized by abortion in our nation. Even as this crime against Mt. Avery is added to a growing list of crimes against churches nationwide, we will not be silenced by the pro-abortion scare tactics of cowards.”
