Conservatives Are At a Crossroads; We Must Stop Following the Establishment
Washington, D.C.: “Senator Mitt Romney has provided a decidedly sharp globalist turn with his take on the Midterm results and the ‘Fork In the Road’ facing the Republican Party,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “He wants the GOP to get back to the business of the globalist establishment Bush-Cheney Dynasty that got us off the path of conservatism to begin with.
“Romney calls for the standard litany of ‘establishment’ usuals: more mass legal immigration, moderate can-kicking solutions to spending, and even an astounding call for us to trust the monstrous Federal Reserve to handle our flailing economy. Truly, the cherry on top of this insulting message is that, yet again, anyone who believes election fraud is even remotely possible is ‘stupidly self-defeating and despicable.'”
“I have a news flash for America,” Martin concluded. “Mitt Romney’s Bush-Era advice is a failed path the Republican Party ought to avoid. The irony of his call to stop making noise and engage in making a difference is astounding, when he spent the entirety of the Trump Administration creating noise to distract from leaps and bounds that were made on the federal judiciary as well as pro-family and pro-free market policies.
“The Republican Party has no use for the big-government globalists any more. We need America First leaders at the helm of the GOP now, more than ever. Men like Andy Biggs, Thomas Massie, and Jim Jordan must lead us in the House and Senators of the caliber of Rand Paul and Josh Hawley need to lead our Senate Republicans. Now is the time to be no-compromise for the Constitution!
