“Whether or not you want to eliminate federal agencies wholesale, the conversation about our spending and deficit has to be had. Whether or not you think Fair Tax is a good idea, the discussion about how to change our tax structure to stop hurting American productivity must be laid out. Speaker McCarthy is doing a wonderful job so far in keeping his promises to the so-called ‘Freedom 20,’ and he’s absolutely right to do so.
“Even a brief glance at the U.S. debt clock indicates that America has to make some major changes when it comes to federal spending. What we’re doing isn’t working, and at this point we have no way to track how many future generations we have saddled with the responsibility of our out-of-control debt and deficit spending. Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the Republican-led House of Representatives have the grand opportunity to use their constitutional power of the purse to force the negotiations to start!
