Washington, D.C.: “Despite supposedly unsealing the search warrant, the FBI and DOJ’s public image continues to nosedive amid the fallout of the raid on Trump’s home,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “In what’s appearing more and more like a fishing expedition than a retrieval of wrongly taken documents, the Mar-a-Lago raid is receiving criticism and a demand for transparency from both sides of the aisle.
“House Republicans have announced that more than a dozen FBI whistleblowers have come forward, helping to separate bureaucratic reality from the Fake News narrative about this latest Big Government assault on Trump. The Senate Intelligence committee has even sent a bipartisan request for more transparency in the Mar-a-Lago search! Yet, the DOJ persists in denying independent review of the files taken or the situation as a whole.
“It’s certainly pouring fuel onto the fire of an angry We the People, as the truth about our corrupt Administrative State angers American citizens. I hope and pray that anger finds a true foothold in history, and not just in a fleeting feeling! Senator Rand Paul is beginning to beat the war drums of FBI corruption, reminding the public that our federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been used since the inception of the Espionage Act to bully political dissenters.
“We would do well to heed Sen. Paul’s history lesson and remember how deep the corruption goes when hacking at this entrenched problem of the Swamp. We need accountability and transparency now!”
