Black Leaders Are Rejecting Biden’s False Claims About Election Reform Laws
Washington, D.C.: “As Biden reaches his 100th day in office, black leaders from across the country are punching holes in his administration’s fight against election integrity reforms,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “The truth is, more than three-fourths (77%) of Americans support showing a photo ID to vote. That includes 72% of black voters, 77% of hispanic voters, and 71% of other non-white minorities. Even 70% of Democrats support voter ID! The numbers are overwhelming — Joe Biden’s radical rhetoric against secure elections is way outside the mainstream of America.”

“Leaders in the black community are fighting back against radical Biden positions,” continued Martin. “North Carolina Lt. Governor Mark Robinson and Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell (both the first black Americans to hold their offices) are among the voices reminding us no matter what white liberals say, the black community supports voter ID. Two-thirds of black Georgia voters support the new election laws that are so hotly debated. Minority voters know that voter ID protects their vote against the meddling of leftists who prey upon and disenfranchise them.”

Martin concluded: “The fight against free and fair elections is just another piece of the flailing Biden agenda. They are pushing radical changes to destabilize our nation despite the overwhelming opinion of the minorities they claim to protect.”
