What you need to know today. This is Donald Trump’s court, and they are making America free again. Let me repeat that again. This is Donald Trump’s court and we are making America free again through the Supreme Court. Now, man, there has just been an incredible amount of of decisions that have come down that have been really wonderful. And I tell you what, we we, you know, we talked about 1 yesterday, Ed went pretty deep into the affirmative action case that. That came down. What was it? We had Harvard and UNC violating the 14th amendment, essentially by using race based admissions policies. I think I I referred to this at least one time this this week as reverse racism, something as someone brought that up. So what do you mean by that? It’s an interesting way to put it. I’m like, well, this is, you know. In order to fight racism, they say we’re using these racially preferenced policies. That’s exactly what this is. And and Ed talked quite a bit about that yesterday.
But I tell you what, today we had some more things. There were two major decisions that came down.
First of all, a huge free speech and a huge religious liberty. The big, one of the biggest First Amendment. Decisions we’ve had in a long time. The court held that a website designer, a creator, I think 303 Creative out in Colorado, man, it’s in Colorado. Why do all the free speech haters come in, come into Colorado and try to mess with people? But Lorie Smith, Lorie Smith is a graphic artist from Colorado. She owns 303 Creative, pardon me. And the Supreme Court ruled today, 6 to 3. That she had a First Amendment protection from being forced to provide a services or business to clients who demand that she do something in contrary, or that is contrary to her religious beliefs. Same sex couple sought her out. I mean, this is Jack Phillips and masterpiece Masterpiece Cakes all over again. They’re trying to come in and demand that Christian business owners must participate in same sex wedding ceremonies. And I mean, this is it. It’s, you know. It it’s just very patently to me, it’s very patently dishonest on the front side of it because this isn’t just really happening in the natural course of life, it it really is targeted. I mean, they’ve come back to Jack Phillips, the Cake Baker over and over again. He’s been taken to court multiple times. They are seeking people out this radical gender radical homosexual lobby really is seeking out these folks and trying to bring them into court and punish them and demand. That, you know, we participate in this and. I say we. People who maybe don’t believe in that lifestyle and say no, this this isn’t just some sort of happenstance that has worked its way through the court system. Make no mistake, from the very beginning, these are targeted attacks, which is very different than the line we’ve been fed for years about, oh, we just. Want to be left alone. With our own preferences and you know that this. No. No. They are actively seeking people with whom they can bring down the judge, judicial system on them, like a sledgehammer. That that’s a point that we need to, you know, understand. That’s not what we’re talking about today that that we can save that conversation for another time.
Here’s what we’re talking about today. This is a huge victory for free speech. This is a huge victory for the Constitution. This is a huge Supreme Court, a landmark decision that is. Going to echo. Forward and that’s not the only one today.
There was another the Supreme Court came down and as I saw one headline put it, they nuked Joe Biden’s unconstitutional multi hundreds of billions of dollars, student loan bailout and that one actually was a little easier. It wasn’t even, I believe, as Chief Justice Roberts wrote in the opinion it, the question here isn’t even whether something should be done. It’s who has the authority to do it. And guess what? No, you do not have the. Authority to do that and just. You know, at the snap of a finger wipe out so many hundreds of billions of dollars of student loans, that’s that’s not how that works. And in fact, they referenced the the West Virginia, the EPA decision last year. We have similar concerns over the exercise of administrative power and man that that’s another one we we talk about it all the time you hear about the administrative state. This bureacratic nightmare that exists at our federal level, that’s another one. So well, you know what? What’s my point here? We’ll come back to the first statement.
We’ve run through a couple more decisions and I, you know, we touched there on what the decision was, what it means. Kind of what it’s connected to, but I tell you what, let me bring it back to my first statement here.
This is Donald Trump’s Supreme Court. I know we’ve become fond of saying this is the Clarence court. The Thomas Court, the Clarence Thomas Court, which it is as I mean Clarence Thomas, is inarguably the dominating figure of conservative, originalist, textualist judicial application here on the Supreme Court. He is really a guiding light for this six to three majority that we keep seeing, but let’s make no mistake.
This is a Supreme Court makeup. These decisions, these landmark cases that are coming forward and opinions that are being handed down are thanks to the presidency of Donald J Trump, the 45th President of United States may not currently be sitting in the Oval Office, but my goodness is he still having an incredible effect. And. Am I ever grateful for it – I hope that you are too, on our Government.
This is absolutely a turn around from the Supreme Court of even just a few years ago, from the judicial supremacists that Phyllis Schlafly wrote so much about in the mid 2000s who just legislated from the bench and imposed their will, their pragmatist values on the American people who Ruled by judicial edict instead of legislative rule making and law making and and elected representatives.
This is a huge turn around and it is a good turn around. These are justices who now at least six of them, are applying themselves to the Constitution who are applying themselves to the natural law that undergirds our system. Looking back at what it means and actually putting things back in their proper order. Whether it’s smacking down people who would come and demand we violate the religious liberty of others, whether it’s smacking down the bloated, bureaucratic administrative state that would come forward to just wreak havoc on our economy even more than it has. Whether it’s striking down race based policies at the highest institutions of education in America, although that’s a little bit of a misnomer, there’s not much educating going on. There’s a lot of schooling, there’s not much education happening, but I digress. These are incredible decisions that are restoring order. They are pointing us back toward the Constitution. And it is making freedom in America great again, and we’re making America free again. So that’s where we land to it. This is in great part thanks to Donald J Trump. The 45th President of the United States. This is Trump’s court. Make no mistake, this is Trump’s court and they are making America free again. This is an incredible lesson as to why presidential elections are so important, because even when someone is no longer sitting at the desk when they are no longer signing papers and writing orders and and putting their name to bills passed in Congress. That person is having an incredible effect, a long lasting effect. In this country.
I am grateful for the decisions and the effect the the decisions made and the effect that Donald Trump is having right now in this Supreme Court makeup, and I hope that you are too. We need to understand just how important.
We always talk about that phrase. Elections have consequences. Well, man, this is one of the consequences, and it’s a good one. I’m happy about this. But as just as incredibly great as it is. going now, it could also incredibly be going the opposite way.
That is the warning. That’s what we must take to heart. And I hope that you understand that too. I wanted to make sure that we made clear we had, you know, we talked. Like I said yesterday, Ed got into the affirmative action issue. Today there’s two more great ones to talk about, but let’s make no mistake. We know where this came from. This is a result of the 2016 election years ago. The decision that America made and putting Donald Trump in the White House. And guess what? It’s a good thing. We’re making America free again. So I wanted to put that together for you. Make sure you understand that. Our elections do have consequences, and boy, are we about to face another big one coming up here. So we will leave it there. That’s what you need to know.
It’s Trump’s Court and we’re making America free again.
