He first warned how bad the outbreak would be, and we followed his advice — we stayed home, freed up necessary medical equipment, and flattened the curve. Now it turns out Dr. Fauci was wrong: the outbreak wasn’t as bad as experts warned. But now he says we have to continue staying home or it gets bad? We can’t stay inside forever. He is pitting Americans against other Americans who want to phase back into normal life.
