Media Lie Exposed: Opposition To Roe Strong Among Self-Identified Pro-Choice and Minorities
Washington, D.C.: “A very clear picture has emerged that almost across the board, Americans support the overturn of Roe v. Wade,” said Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin. “A new poll, conducted in the wake the Supreme Court leak, shows key numbers that turn the Big Media’s narrative about Roe’s popularity on its head.”
Rasmussen Reports found not only that more voters approved of overturning Roe than not, but that this opinion was delivered by a group whose majority identified as “pro-choice.” In fact, only 40% of the polling group identified as pro-life. Other stunning numbers showed a clear support for overturning Roe among minority voters by a shocking 59% as well as those under 40.
Martin continued, “This poll indicates one very clear trend, that despite personal beliefs on abortion, Roe v. Wade as judicial precedent is unpopular. Another fact the left doesn’t want to admit is that they don’t have support on this fight from key demographics that have traditionally been strongly Democrat.”
“The tide is turning and the the left’s pernicious abortion-precedent narratives have lost steam with the American people,” Martin concluded. “The reality is that Roe v. Wade was a disgraceful act of judicial activism and legislation from the bench. This decision and its subsequent rulings belong on the ash heap of history, not some hall of fame of judicial precedent. Americans know it, and it appears the Supreme Court knows it as well.”
