Obama-Appointed Judge Shuts Door on ERA Revival
Washington, D.C.: Federal District Judge Rudolph Contreras has issued a ruling once again declaring the 1972 Equal Rights Amendment expired.
“The nation’s top legal minds have long known the ERA is dead, but radical leftists just won’t let it go,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “What Phyllis Schlafly knew in 1979 has held true through the years, recognized even by the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel. The seven year deadline on the Equal Rights Amendment was valid and constitutional — and it has passed. The ERA is expired.
“Judge Contreras issued a ruling soundly rejecting the nonsense of states who have (in ceremony only) “ratified” the ERA in the last four years. Make no mistake, this victory will not stop cultural Marxists in Congress. They are already plotting already how to install the Equal Rights Amendment despite all legal rulings. Eagle activists around the nation are preparing now for this continued onslaught against the American family and the Constitution.”
