Washington, D.C.: “It’s no secret: the left loves their wild, irrational arguments based on emotion alone. What’s particularly enjoyable, however, is when real-world numbers shatter literally everything they’ve said about a topic,” remarked Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Throughout 2021 leftist groups screeched and wailed about election integrity measures throughout several states. They insisted that these bills (now laws) were based purely on a GOP desire for voter suppression and preventing minorities from voting.
“Of course, any sane person with any amount of logic knew their argument didn’t line up, but as we march toward the 2022 midterms, the numbers are showing exactly the opposite of leftist lies. In all five red states that passed election security laws, voter turnout has gone up — significantly.”
“Georgia, Texas, Arizona, Iowa, and Florida have all seen huge if not record-breaking spikes throughout their primary elections this year,” Martin continued. “I have no doubt we will see more of the same as early voting for the general election begins this month. Will the leftwing hacks acknowledge their grossly inaccurate claims? Of course not! They don’t have a single shred of care about voters and ballot access or free and fair elections. They don’t want states to pass measures that ensure transparency and further secure the electoral process.
“When your policies are bankrupting the public and you can’t win arguments on the merits, the last thing you’d want is someone stopping your ability to cheat. It’s time to hand the left an epic defeat at the ballot box this fall.”
