Dem House, Senate Members Claim Court Was “Stolen,” They Need Four More Seats
Washington, D.C.: Democrat Members of the House and Senate have officially filed a bill that would expand the Supreme Court from nine justices to thirteen, allowing the Biden administration to pack the court with an extra four appointees of their choice. This move comes just days after President Biden launched a commission to explore expanding the Supreme Court.
“Packing the Supreme Court has only one rationale — a corrupt grab for power,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Democrats will do anything now for absolute power, despite what they themselves have said in the past! Just one week ago President Biden established a 36-member commission to examine this issue, despite having repeatedly called packing the court a ‘bonehead idea’ during his tenure in the U.S. Senate.
“Despite even the warnings from the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and currently seated Justice Stephen Bryer, Democrat Senator Edward Markey (MA) and Reps. Jerry Nadler, Hank Johnson, and Mondaire Jones are determined to pass the Judiciary Act of 2021 and take back what was ‘stolen’ from them (as Sen. Markey put it) during the Trump administration.”
Martin concluded, “This bill represents sore losers at their worst — angry about four years of Pro America policy under Trump. They will call it a restoration of balance or a modernization of an antiquated system, but it’s all a cover-up for their hypocritical lust for total control. America must stop this move to pack the court at all costs.”
