Senate Set To Join 6th Circuit In Rebuff of Unconstitutional Overreach
Washington, D.C.: “Bad Luck Biden’s tour of executive failures got bad news from the 6th U.S. Circuit Court and more is on the way from the U.S. Senate,” said Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit denied a government motion to both overturn the hold on OSHA’s vaccine mandate as well as move the case to the D.C. Circuit, likely a more friendly venue for the government’s overreach.
“We are thankful for sound jurists who won’t pass the buck on hard issues,” Martin continued. “We’re also grateful for the honesty of senators like West Virginia’s Joe Manchin, who is likely to be a Democrat vote against unconstitutional executive actions. Senator Mike Braun’s Congressional Review Act seems poised to pass this week with support from one if not multiple Democrats.
“From the courtrooms of the federal circuit to the cloak room of the U.S. Senate, voices of all political persuasions are raising a ruckus over the abuse of federal power coming from the Biden administration. It’s time for our judicial branch to check the executive and our elected Congress to reclaim their authority as well. May the bad week for Biden’s unconstitutional actions continue in the Senate!”
