The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, Welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. A second report on Tucker Carlson coming up in a moment.
Very interesting Conversation to be had – I did a pre interview with him, John O’Connor, a lawyer who’s written two books on Watergate and a very interesting guy about how abusive the FISA process the national Security Warrant lists the the ability to execute warrantless wiretaps for national security, and the problems with it. And so John O’Connor will join us and a lot more. But first. Tucker Carlson.
So we’re into the second day of the January 6th stuff now, you may remember. I talk about it a lot, my own role in in assisting with the January 6 defendants and others in the families. So I’ve been aware of it for a long time, but it is interesting to see people suddenly become aware of how out of line the reporting the media. And especially the the Select Committee on January 6th and it it gives me good a good opportunity to pause and reteach and restate and point out how effective the narrative machine is. The narrative machine in this country, which is comprised of big media, New York Times, Washington Post, cable news, Sunday TV shows, big Media, Time magazine, you know, all those big media sort of legacy media, big media; big tech. Facebook, Meta, Twitter, Instagram, all these different YouTube, the and big media, big tech, and big government.
And in this case, big government was the apparatus, the Select Committee. It was the apparatus of of big government, supplying the sort of raw material for the narrative machine.
And so one of the things that was striking wasn’t it is that the media in the last two or three days was calling for access to the videos that Tucker Carlson had access to and you wanted to say. Wait a second, guys and gals, why didn’t you ask for access when the Select Committee was dispensing it in in targeted ways. And and what I would say was biased ways.
And they didn’t object because they’re part of the narrative machine. They wouldn’t think to. If one of your partners in the narrative machine narrative machine says here’s the video, you don’t say, give me all of it. You say thank you and you move on and that’s what the narrative and the narrative machine.
Conservatively, in my mind, conservatively $50 million worth of earned media, so-called earned media, when you when, earned media is when you’re a candidate or a business or a product and you get the the TV cameras to cover you not because you buy an ad, but because you’re doing something and they want to see it. The classic political earned media was Donald Trump in 2015 – 16. Every speech he gave was like a phenomenon and everybody covered it, and that was free earned media. It’s called earned media. Or if you have, you know, something dramatic happens and somebody is is highlights some car or, it’s earned media, sometimes negative. You know, the Bronco that OJ was fleeing from the murder scene in or whatever. In this case, 10s of millions, I say 50 million conservatively earned media by the Select Committee. Big government, the Pelosi Select Committee with Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, and the breathless coverage they were prime time some of the shows were prime time. They were article after article about investigations and who was involved and how they hired only the best. You know, they hired this and that story after story. Hundreds and hundreds of hours. And the coverage, big media, big tech and big government, the coverage built the narrative machine.
And somewhere around I would say. Half the country believed. Believe still that it was an armed insurrection, an attempt to take over the government, even though the people that were arrested for what can be described, I think as a riot. Those people, they don’t look, they look a lot less like armed insurrectionists and a lot more like, I don’t know, fools and nitwits, rioters. It’s like when you saw Antifa scooped up when they arrested some of them. You didn’t say, oh, those guys are trying to take over things. They’re just thugs, thugs and idiots. And the people, the rioters that actually broke Windows or hit policemen, they look like they look like rotten peo -. They look like Rioters, but there was no insurrection, but the $50 million of earned media of the narrative machine Did a heck of a job of conditioning the country to believe that.
And what you’re seeing now is Tucker Carlson saying, Yeah, the narrative machine fed you some really, really. Uh, some really fake stuff. And it’s sort of breaking the spell a little bit a little bit. I don’t think it’s breaking a lot of it, it’s like the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. By the time the damage is done, you, you, you know you got 40% of the country thinks that Russia colluded with the Trump campaign when in fact it looks like Russia colluded with Hillary. Or Hillary’s lawyers. But be that as it may, January 6, the question is whether the hoax, whether the hoax spell is being broken enough that we can get past it. I hope so. I hope so. That’s gotta be the goal. That’s got to be the goal, ’cause it’s a disaster. But Tucker Carlson is doing a yeoman’s work. But it’s not enough.
As I said last week, it’s a good start. It’s a very good start. I appreciate it very much to make this much of the video available to Tucker Carlson or making the video available at this point to Tucker Carlson, that’s good.
Now it’s time for the whole world to see it. And to make it available to everybody.
And to make it so that everybody can, so you can crowd watch it, crowd review it, crowd critique it. You know, I think they say crowd fund or Crowdsource. I guess Crowdsource is what you Crowdsource is what you do. I guess when you’re doing the, that’s the word they use, doesn’t feel the same way, cause Crowdsource seems like you’d contribute this. Is like crowd watch. You know, crowd examine. But we need the public to see it and go through it. It’ll be messy, by the way. It’ll be choppy. It’ll be confusing.
But it’s necessary because we can’t trust what we’ve been told. And, as Tucker Carlson said, the uniparty, both parties that are in power, the people that are in office, they don’t want to see us get to the bottom of it. They want to keep it power.
But we have to.
All right. There you go. That’s what you need to know. We’ll take a break. We’ll be. Back Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report back in a moment.
