A lot of things to talk about, a lot of consequences for we the people, good things we must consider.
So thank you for having me here with you today. I mean, you know, you had a lot of choice. In the matter you Fire up the radio and I’m here. You’re stuck with me, but I promise. We are going to have a good time here on this show today. A lot of things going On and it is not going to be completely me. We’ve got a couple of great guests today. Rest assured that is still happening even though Mr. Ed is out on assignment. We’ve got a couple of good guests coming around the pike here. Stay tuned for them. And then of course, we always close out the show with a little wrap up of what you need to do. And today we’re going to tie it into the first one. What you need to know what is it that you need to know? Well, we have talked endlessly about what the House has done, what the House hasn’t done. Ohh man, all of the shenanigans in the House. I’m not sure there’s ever. Well, that’s not true. I remember the era of Obamacare. Very well. As if it were yesterday, the House has been capable of shenanigans before. It’s just it’s a perfect word for the, for the ridiculousness. At least a perfect you know PG word for the ridiculousness because it it really is pretty, pretty incredible. Some of the things that happen and then what they tell us what, what the pundits, what the spin zone tells us about what we should think it it just. It’s absolutely incredible. But we’ve talked endlessly.
I feel like this week about the 95 Billion dollars in federal foreign aid that just went out last week. And we’ve we’ve talked about it and and analyzed it and looked down into The dirty details. And ohh my goodness there. There’s even more stories that I could get into about federal funding and the different places it’s going with foreign aid and who we’re giving money to. Joe, Joe Biden is funneling money millions of dollars. What did I see $1.3 million to the Taliban? I mean, come on. There’s just so much silliness that is happening and. Guess what?
We’ve allowed it, you and I, to a certain extent, have allowed it. Our elections have consequences, and this is the consequence of our elections.
And and I, I would argue very greatly. This is in fact the consequence of not having more voter turnout. Not having more folks registered to vote and not having more of those people who are registered. Engaged and showing up it. It has left a huge vacuum of power that gets filled with whoever can stuff the ballot box best because we don’t just have the populace at large engaged in the numbers that they should be. But. Ohh that could be a whole topic on its own. The whole what you need to know, but that is is a very big tie in here because –
What you need to know is. As we well here, let me say this as as we’ve talked about Speaker Johnson, what looks like Speaker Johnson’s selling out of conservative values and then what’s being said as we are coming down the pike on a crash course for the November 2024 election here, here’s what you need to know.
Ousting Speaker Mike Johnson might actually be our best chance. To save a GOP majority in November. You hear that?
Getting rid of Mike Johnson, having another speaker fight may be the only thing that preserves a Republican majority in the House. And that’s exactly the opposite of what we are being told. The the establishment, the pundits, the people, you know, you RINOs deep state. Call them what you. The folks out there in the land of we like to stay in power, not we like to stand on principle are fear mongering very blatantly and telling us ohh you guys need to, you know, shut down. The Marjorie Taylor Greenes. The Tom Massies. The Matt Gaetzes, the people who are trying to get rid of Mike Johnson. All they’re going to do is ensure that Hakeem Jeffries gets in as the next speaker of the House, and that would be terrible.
Well, yeah, that would be pretty terrible. But guess what? This is just a slower version in my opinion of what Hakeem Jeffries would do. Why is Mike Johnson any better?
He’s broken his promises. He has violated the key things that Kevin McCarthy, his predecessor, and then he subsequently agreed to. Over and over, they have sold us out and they continue to behave like Democrats who move slower.
I mean and then again it’s, I’m not just looking for an excuse to fight, but I’m looking for someone who will stand up for the truth and stop excusing what they’re doing. And I know that you feel the same way I’m gonna bring. I’m gonna bring it down a minute here. I’m getting a little worked up.
But the fear mongering over that is just incredible. It’s almost as if someone says, yeah, hey, Speaker Johnson, I thought you said we weren’t gonna do that. Don’t you criticize him because then we might get Hakeem Jeffries and that would be really bad. That’s exactly what you’re doing. Look. Oh, come on. This is what the left does on Twitter.
We come up with an immediate emotional false dilemma. And falsely equate your action for good. Your action to stand on principle with some terrible thing that would obviously happen if you don’t just play along with the game.
You know what? Enough of the game. I. That’s what Americans are saying. Enough of the game. Give me some reality. Give Congress a reality check. Maybe stop giving them a paycheck. Just a reality check. How about that? This is side note. We’ll put a pin in that for later, I guess.
But this this is the reality check time. If all of you are going to behave the same, just slower or faster, all of you are out. We need people in there who will tell the truth. Who will govern on principle, but who also know how to use the system to advance the truth. I’m not saying you just stand there and throw up a NO all the time. You gotta get in there and actually work inside the system to make change happen. But the change that’s happening. Is Mike Johnson moving the direction of everything that the Democrat Party wants, of all of these allowances that the establishment, the deep state wants, we’re gonna go ahead and fund this war in Ukraine. We’re gonna go ahead and give money to this foreign entity and that foreign entity, but we’re not Actually going to deal. With this and that and the other domestic issue here. You know things that are actually our job as Congress. We’re not going to do those, but we’re going to keep pipelining money overseas. Come on.
And and here’s here’s the crux. Here’s the rub. Here’s why I say what I say about Maybe it’s time to speak to oust Speaker Johnson.
Maybe that’s our best chance to save the majority. Tom Massie is one of the great stars of Congress in my mind, that man doesn’t care one hoot about any of the Punditry, or spinning or anything else. He just speaks his mind, and he says what he thinks is right. And he says what’s actually happening. God bless him. I wish we had another 434 of him in the US House of Representatives. However, I am, in fact, against human cloning on principle. But I I love Tom Massie, and I wish we would have some more of him.
Tom Masse’s blowing the lid off of this whole thing and saying. Guess what, guys? The What the Democrats want isn’t for you to remove Speaker Johnson so that they can install Hakeem Jeffries. That is not a given. But what is a given is that Mike Johnson is not exactly the most inspiring conservative stalwart we’ve ever had. And with his leadership cruising toward the November elections, you really think we’re going to do anything other than potentially lose the House?
Then in January, didn’t matter that we got rid of Mike, that we didn’t get rid of Mike Johnson. We’ve lost the majority in November and the Democrats trot in their majority of votes in January and vote through Speaker Hakeem Jeffries. This is what Tom Massie’s bringing up, and it’s a pretty good point. It is a very good point because at the rate that he is leading as a slower version of the Democratic agenda, he is going to destroy all confidence that conservatives have in him and he is going to lead us into or could very well, I should say, I’m not trying to predict concretely, but he could very well lead us into a terrible set of losses, not just for the Republican Party, cause you know me and you know Ed, we’re not just rah rah party, you know, party alignment.
No, no conservatism, God, family, country, the Republican Party platform stands on those points, and the Republicans darn well better stand on them too or.
Get out and that’s exactly where I feel like we are with Mike Johnson. That’s exactly why I feel like this speaker fight is coming. It is deserved and it may in fact be the only thing that saves us from a from a Speaker Hakeem Jeffries is to oust a bad leader for a good one.
We need a leader that stands up for America, not one that slow walks the other party’s agenda, the left’s agenda. So that’s what you need to know. Maybe ousting Speaker Johnson is the only thing that we have to prevent a Speaker Jefferies. That’s it.
