You might think that this is April Fool’s Day and therefore I am pulling one over on you, but I’m not. You’re stuck with me all week. No, I’m kidding. I’m kidding. I know. I mean, you are stuck with me all week, but it’s not a bad thing. That’s what I’m joking about. This is a good thing. You and I, dear listeners of the Pro America Report, you and I are gonna get a chance to bond. We’re gonna know each other really well by the end of the week, because you’re gonna have day after day after day of me. Because. Our illustrious leader El Jefe. Whatever name we’d like to give him, Ed Martin is out on assignment this week. There’s some super cool stuff coming down the pike, but in the meantime, he’s got a little bit of a break and a little bit of some extra work coming up. So he asked me to fill in. I said yes, I would love to. I already am in great enjoyment every single time that I’m able to come and fill in for him. So. I will be here with you all week.

But let’s dive right into it today, you would think you would think on this April Fool’s day. Ohh, maybe we could stop some of the infighting inside the Republican Party. The Grand Old Party, the GOP. But no. No. For April Fools Day. And and this is quite possibly an April fools joke, but I don’t think so. We’ve, we’ve. Dug pretty deep on this one. I’ve got to bring you something there.
There is a a new, I think. Fight. Let me make this prediction. A new fight coming against the Freedom Caucus and against the right wing of the right wing, the real conservative faction I, I guess what the establishment folks are calling the ultra-conservative sounds like some sort of conspiracy secret organization, the Ultra Conservative. What the party people are calling the ultra-conservative faction of the House Republican Conference and who do they mean? Matt Gaetz, Bob Good, people that you and I know and respect and appreciate for at least the last two years being the independent principled voice of the Republican House majority.
Now, it has been a slim majority, but that has brought on some incredible things. The speaker fight, the speaker fight 2.0, we’ve seen some crazy stuff happen. And you know what? I think that we have been not the first or the only ones for sure, but we have been one of the prominent voices here that have stuck with the same opinion of what has happened this whole time. I agree with it. Ed agrees with that. I think that you agree with us that these raucous moments of the Republican House Conference, particularly, we’ll just we’ll zone in on that right now. The Republican House Conference, I think this is a microcosm of what’s happening across the Republican Party across the conservative spectrum. And I think that these things, like the speaker fight and a lot of others, you know, you. You could make a case and and I might not argue with all of your points for dragging the dirty laundry out in front of everyone for everyone to see, making these high drama votes last forever and ever, how it breaks unity, how it’s preventing things from going up. But you know what?
At the end of the day, if our party is capitulating. To the one mind, the groupthink that the the uniparty mindset. What good even is it if we are not as a party as Republicans, espousing conservative views, espousing views that protect the Constitution, that uphold liberty, that embrace the fundamental understanding of property rights and all of the things that make America what it is.
If we’re not doing that first and foremost, then what’s even the point. Playing ball? Just playing the game, doing what everyone else does? No, that’s not why we send representatives to govern, to be a part of a game.
We send and select people from our own ranks. Citizens, doctors, businessmen. Regular everyday people, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, people who are plugged into their communities, that the whole point is for us to send them to the legislatures for them to be citizen representatives for a time, not a career, for their own district. That that’s kind of the whole point, that’s what it’s supposed to be.
So why would we want them to go and just play along with some long ranging game where we get along with everyone and we make it? No, I I’m sending you there to stand up for the right thing to stand up for what you and I think is right representative of mine who represents. my voice there in Washington.
I’m not sending people there to be just one of the of the hive think, of the hive mind.
I’m I’m sending them there to be independent. If that’s what it requires because they work for me not the system. So I want them to play. Hey, I’m here for the truth, not play the game.
So this this came out here today. This is an article that kind of dove us off into this. There’s a group of House Republicans that are trying to primary Republican Representative Bob Good. Now, Bob Good has made a little bit of a name for himself inside conservative circles. At least we’ve heard of him. He’s a Virginia congressman. Good guy. And has most recently been serving as the Chair of the House Freedom Caucus just since this past January. So four months in four months in today. Right. I’m sorry. 3, three months in three months in today, man, you see how fast 2024 is going, I think you’re With me there. You understand that, but three months in, he’s the new chair of the House FreedomCaucus and this has been a very interesting, they are, they are at at this point attempting to primary him. Several members of the Republican House Conference are supposedly, I don’t know if how much of this is necessarily hearsay at this point, but there are people talking about it. I don’t know if they’ve recruited successfully, someone who’s going to oust him. Down in his district in Virginia, there are a group of House Republicans trying to raise, and I think they have found someone, a former Navy SEAL, to run against him here in this June primary. And one of the Members of this coalition that’s coming out to try to remove Bob Good, our our good, for lack of, sorry, not a pun, just just a good description Bob Good our our chairman of the House Freedom Caucus. One of the group of people inside the Republican Party conference trying to remove him has actually gone pretty public.
Wisconsin Republican Derrick Van Orden, we haven’t heard a whole lot about him. You may have heard his name. If you do a lot of stuff in the News, but he told CNN very recently he and this is this is interesting. I think this is this is where we need to go and this is this is the what you we’re we’re entering the what you need to know. I apologize. I buried the lede on that we’re minutes into the segment and I’m gonna tell you about it just now but but his comment to CNN was Bob Good didn’t come here to govern he came here to be famous. Bob Good is wearing our jersey, but he’s not on the team.
Really. Really. Now I think that you and I would say that of almost every single Republican that has gone there and sold out to the system, they didn’t go there to govern. They didn’t go there to represent their district. They went there to be somebody. So they may be wearing a Republican Party jersey, but those people aren’t representing the Republican Party or their district. They’re representing their own interests. I’m pretty sure it it’s. I mean, this is. You wanna talk about double think and some more Orwellian stuff here. Everything that this guy says, I 100% believe. About the the the establishment wing of the Republican Party, and I think that you agree with me too, so this is there’s the what you need to know.
The what you need to know is. The battle to make the Republican Party conservative is far from over. We are in the midst of it. We are fighting it now, and this election 2024. I know that the the presidential race and Donald Trump are just sucking the oxygen out of the room. But well. And you know what, here? I guess I should say I should say it this way. This battle is far from over. But here’s here’s the real what you need to know. I’m sorry. I’m gonna change my mind. On this one actually, because one of the points I wanted to make I think is the most important point.
We have got to pay attention to down ballot races in 2024. That’s what you need to know. Because you you already know that the battle is far from over. This is not revelatory to you. It’s not new information to me, the battle is far from over, but we have got to pay attention.
Because stuff like this is going on in the background. These establishment hacks. Yeah, I’m gonna go that far. I’m gonna say it. These establishment hacks, party minded people, folks who are there to play the game. They are now working very in, in, in a very organized fashion to oust people who have stood up on principle and actually thrown a monkey wrench successfully into the system. Bob Good Matt Gaetz. So many folks, the the, the Freedom 20, a lot of these things come to mind.
We have got to stand up for these people because the party network, the Washington Uni-Party, the establishment class is coming for them. They are gunning for them. So as much as the presidential race is sucking the oxygen out of the fundraising arena Of 2024 and the news cycle and our attentions, we must focus down ballot. There are good men and women who need to stay in office, who we cannot let be primaried by the establishment. We have got to stand up for them. Keep your eyes down the ballot. That’s what you need to know. today.
