Washington, D.C.: White House Counsel Pat Cipollone sent a stern 12-page letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler yesterday flatly refuting the false rantings of committee leadership.
“Before the Mueller Report was even released, Chairman Nadler had already launched his own attempt at investigating collusion and obstruction,” said Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin. “The White House Counsel’s letter to Congressman Nadler perfectly puts Congress in their place — one of legislative function. There is absolutely no legislative purpose behind House Judiciary’s recent actions. Their job is not to fulfill the role of U.S. Attorney — something Bob Mueller already did with 22 months and $30+ million.
“Even worse is the ludicrous contempt vote the Judiciary held against Attorney General Barr. It’s hard to fathom the political chutzpah it takes to hold America’s top law enforcement official in contempt for refusing to break the law. Bravo to the Trump Administration for plowing through with real governance, even while the House of Representatives leadership devolves into chaos.”
