Debt Clock Reads >$30 Trillion, ‘True Debt’ Estimated at $141 Trillion
Washington, D.C.: “The United States surpassed $30,000,000,000,000 (trillion) in national debt this week and the Fake News media completely ignored the story,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “This massive milestone is in large part thanks to the government’s addition of $7 trillion of debt to recklessly attempt to mitigate the effects of the Wuhan Virus.”
“The media’s abject failure to report this story to the public is just as irresponsible as the nitwit politicians who have exacerbated our national debt,” Martin continued. “The situation is far more bleak, though, than even the Treasury’s ‘published’ debt. Independent watchdogs report that the entirety of America’s obligations (including Social Security and Medicare) total more than $141 trillion — more than ten times the reporting of our federal government. That puts the individual debt of each American at just shy of one million dollars.
“When in the world are elected officials going to stand up and stop this insanity? We need authentic leadership to avert this crash course for America. It would be a great start to dethrone the delinquents at CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS who make sure We the People are kept in the dark. Fiscal sanity now!”
