Chuck Schumer Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Replace Dianne Feinstein on Judiciary
Washington, D.C.: “One of the Senate’s biggest problems, frankly, is the slavish adherence to a long-lost decorum and need for bipartisanship,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “You won’t hear me advocate for fisticuffs and hurling epithets across the aisle — I most certainly am not! But it’s high time that conservatives in the upper chamber of our United States Congress stood up for our values instead of bending over backwards to compromise with the radical left.
“When Chuck Schumer brings a resolution to the floor to replace the aging and sickly Dianne Feinstein on Senate Judiciary, the GOP absolutely must respond with a resounding ‘no’! Why in heaven’s name would GOP Senate Leadership want to aid the Biden Administration in continuing their confirmation of atrocious judges and executive appointees?
“Conservatives in the House and the GOP as a whole have walked through tough battles this year over great big issues that face our nation. They’ve done so respectfully but firmly, and they haven’t compromised to the sacred cow of ‘bipartisanship’ and ‘civility.’ Goodness knows the Democrats play by no such rules, nor do they play any games of compromise with good intentions.
“It’s high time the Senate GOP took the same lesson to heart and played tactical hardball with the Democrat majority opposition. No to streamlining more radical nominations to the judiciary and abusive executive branches!”
