Glimmer of Hope: Using Horrific “Infrastructure Framework” To Fight CRT
Washington, D.C.: “Senator Tom Cotton introduced the Stop CRT (Critical Race Theory) Act in July, and now he’s putting Democrats’ bad legislation to good use,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Senator Cotton hooked this ban on federal funds for teaching CRT in K-12 public schools as an amendment on the Senate’s latest budget framework. It passed 50-49.”
Senator Cotton has long been a powerful voice in Congress against Critical Race Theory. Before passage of his amendment, he warned fellow senators, “They want to teach our children that America’s not a good nation, but a racist nation. Those teachings are wrong, and our tax dollars should not support them. Our future depends on the next generation of kids loving America and loving each other as fellow citizens, no matter their race.”
“The fight against CRT has gained traction across the nation,” Martin continued. “Parents are up in arms in every state and in school districts of every demographic. We need more national public servants like Senator Cotton. Our leaders should boldly confront this racist, anti-American ideology and grant it the permanent expulsion from our schools that it so richly deserves.”
