Washington, D.C.: South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham announced a Senate resolution yesterday condemning the House impeachment process as improper, unfair, and completely outside the boundaries of how such heavy matters should be handled.
“Senator Graham is spot on,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “The House has not taken any of the formal steps required to pursue an impeachment inquiry in the right and lawful manner. Impeachment of a U.S. President is a very solemn consideration. House Democrats are disgracing their positions and the process itself by improperly applying impeachment as a political weapon.
“We are grateful for the many senators who have signed onto Sen. Graham’s legislation so far. I hope many more will do the same. This gross overreach should receive a bipartisan condemnation.”
