Dictator Pelosi Is Not Pleased With Small-Time $1.2 Trillion Spending
Washington, D.C.: “Americans are flabbergasted at the $1.2 trillion spending package passed through the Senate,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “And even more disappointing is the support it received from 19 so-called Republicans. It’s time we explained to them again the part of the GOP platform that covers limited government and fiscal sanity.”
Senators Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz were among those who stood for restrained fiscal policy, arguing very soundly and eloquently against this behemoth of socialist spending. “I’m disappointed that anyone would support this bill,” Hawley said after the vote. “This isn’t an infrastructure bill, this is a radical left woke politics bill that has stuff like gender identify mandates in it. The radical equity agenda, the Green New Deal — that’s all in this bill. And by the way it’s going to cost trillions of dollars, pork barrel spending. There’s stuff like bridges and highways in Canada in this bill. We ought to be building highways and bridges in the United States, not in foreign countries. This is a bad bill and that’s why I voted no.”
Martin continued, “Bravo, Senator Hawley — he is exactly right. We have allowed Congress to convolute issues that should be simple and straightforward. Despite this massive mess of spending Sen. Hawley so succinctly smacked down, ‘Dictator Pelosi and the Squadettes’ aren’t happy! They’re already stamping their feet and yelling that they won’t play ball until all of their own $3.5 trillion (that’s $2,000,000,000,000 more than the Senate bill) wish list is met in full.
“It’s time for Senate Republicans to act like Republicans and learn a lesson from their stiff-spined members like Josh Hawley and Rand Paul. Hold the line, Senators. Don’t give in to the radical agenda.”
