RINOs, or “Republicans In Name Only,” have been a cancer on the Republican Party for decades. Conservatives have had to spend far too much of their time fighting against the fake Republicans who infiltrate leadership positions, leaving little time for the fight against our more transparent adversaries. Donald Trump has devised the best way to deal with them once and for all. His plan is simple: “No more money for RINOs.” He explained, “They do nothing but hurt the Republican Party and our great voting base—they will never lead us to Greatness.”
Trump is absolutely right to expose the parasites within the GOP who soak up money while thwarting party growth. In 2020, the Republican National Committee used Trump’s name heavily to raise hundreds of millions of dollars. A lot of that cash went to fund Republican candidates other than Trump. Even after the election, the RNC continued to use Trump’s name for fundraising purposes.
Keep in mind, Trump is not being stingy by asking the RNC to stop fundraising off of his name. He has always been very generous in allowing other Republicans to use his name, until they recently started stabbing him in the back. The RNC funds some of the 17 congressmen and senators who voted in favor of impeaching Trump and unconstitutionally “convicting” him after he left office. It’s no wonder he wants to stop sending money to these people.
Trump can and should control the use of his name. For too long, RINOs have benefited from Trump’s coattails when raising money, only to govern as anti-American, anti-Trump liberals. If they want to vote like Democrats, let the Democrats fund their campaigns. It’s not merely justifiable to withhold money from them; it’s the only right thing to do. When Republicans and Democrats are both funding liberal candidates, they are depriving voters of a real choice between two candidates. Prospective Republican candidates do not deserve a dime of RNC money if they refuse to stand by the Republican Party platform, which expresses the sentiments of grassroots Republicans everywhere. Let’s follow the Trump plan: “No more money for RINOs.”
