Voters Are Tired of Same Old Policies, Results
Washington, D.C.: In an interview with Ed Martin on the Pro America Report, former Congressman and Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told Martin that the auditions for next Speaker of the House are wide open.
“It cannot just be a speaker with an R behind their name,” Meadows said. “People are tired of electing the same people and getting the same results, regardless of whether they’re a Democrat or Republican. And so I’m all in. The audition is open for who the next speaker is going to be. And if we can’t find a member of Congress, we need to find somebody outside of Congress to become that speaker.”
Martin commented, “When conservatives sweep the field in the 2022 election, it’s time for a change. We cannot afford for Republicans to get into office and elect a speaker who does nothing more than echo the positions of Democrats. The elections in New Jersey, Virginia, and across the nation prove that the Trump sentiment of ‘drain the swamp’ is alive and well.
“Conservatives will not support Republicans who get into office and run back to just having really good tax plans. The MAGA differential, the every day Americans who are tired of being trampled by bureaucracy, are giving elected power to bold leaders who will fight for our values. It’s time for candidates to take note and get busy: fight the real villains and take on the tough battles. There is a war on for our culture and voters are done with soft-spoken, old-school candidates who shrink from the fight to save America. The auditions for the next Speaker of the House are on.”
