Washington, D.C.: As both the 2020 elections and frantic Democrats intensify, America must remember one important fact: the Mueller investigation is over. There was no collusion and no obstruction. Republicans must not take part in any leftwing folly to the contrary. Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, issued a subpoena late yesterday to Donald Trump Jr. for further testimony.
Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin released the following remarks: “Conservatives in the Senate are leading criticism of their colleague today. Sen. Rand Paul’s comments hit hardest — that Chairman Burr obviously ‘didn’t get the memo.’ The Mueller investigation is over. Republicans absolutely must not give credibility to desperate Democrat talking points.
“In fact, not a single senator on the Intelligence Committee is willing to support Burr because this move stinks of the swamp! Majority Leader McConnell assured us that the Senate is moving on from this closed case. Chairman Burr had already promised Trump Jr. that he would not need to testify again and would not be subpoenaed. One has to wonder who is pulling Senator Burr’s strings. Republicans who legitimize this witch hunt are no different from the Democrats who created it.”
