As the Chinese weather balloon (read: spy balloon) passes over America, it’s a great time to recall the Monroe Doctrine and our nation’s long-standing policies on anti-American systems encroaching on our part of the world. It’s a very serious business, and America’s leaders have to take any incursion seriously. We already know China doesn’t respect our space both digitally and otherwise. This is a whole new level, and time for us to take a serious look at our response.
