The judges are striking back against the agenda of We The People.
Washington, D.C.: Today, San Francisco U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg blocked the Trump Commerce Department’s decision to ask 2020 Census respondents about their citizenship. Judge Seeborg said it “threatens the very foundation of our democratic system.”
“In typical liberal hyperbole, this activist judge from California is pretending like a long-standing policy is suddenly a radical attack on America,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “This is outrageous and is a blatant attack on our nation’s ability to function. The United States is a republic, not a democracy. At the very heart of republicanism is the rule of law, and citizens have certain rights and privileges. A republican nation must know how many citizens it has and where they reside in order to effectively distribute the representative government. It’s just that simple.
“The standard census asked this question for over a century. To suggest adding back the citizenship question is harmful in any way is absolutely ridiculous. This is the latest attack from a liberal, imperial judiciary against We the People. Judicial supremacists must be stopped.”
